Happy New Year!

Happy New Year Everyone,

Okay, it’s still a few days off but Happy anyway! Hope everyone had a super Christmas. I didn’t really get anything I wanted except the paper balls. Dad said I have just been too naughty. But then last night he really surprised me by giving me a milk ring tied to a piece of string! It is one of my favorite things to play with ever!

My New Year’s resolution is to be a nicer cat. I know I’m a little mean so I am going to strive to be better and maybe I won’t have to worry about getting nada for Christmas next year or at least not get locked out every day. So far, since Christmas it has happened every day.

Btu enough about what I didn’t get! We did get UVerse at home over the weekend. I really like the picture quality and we can watch all of our stations in all four rooms now! The downside is that I still don’t see a Cat channel.

Dad is all agog because when he first turned it on the Flintstones were on. Now I didn’t know what the hell that was, but on Sunday he had me watch an episode with him and now I at least know where “Yabba-Dabba-Doo” comes from. I still don’t know what it has to do with me though.

Nothing much else is new here. Mom and dad took the Christmas tree down yesterday so my bunker is gone, but at least I can get back in the window without any hassle now.

Tomorrow is Amy’s big day. She’s moving out, but I suspect she’ll be back over to see me. I asked dad and he said I probably did not have to move out when I get older since that doesn’t really apply to cats. I’m probably going to be sad over the weekend when she is gone those first few days, but I’m really happy for her!

Well I better run, the Hillbillies are coming on!

Love and peace!!

NOT A December to Remember!

Hi everyone,

Just a few short days until Christmas! Hope you are all ready out there and can relax this weekend before the big days! Me, I've been laying around under the tree a lot. One day dad did catch me gnawing on a branch, but it has been rare. I only did it that time and once before. Of course he doesn't believe me!

Then this morning I thought he was going to play ball with me and he didn't. I showed him by heading in to the kitchen and promptly knocked a tin of cookies to the floor. He was pissed and called me a jerk cat. I didn't really care until he told me that I had been so naughty over the year that even if I had been nice this morning and for the next few days I couldn't make up for it. Now I'm afraid I won't even get my paper balls let alone my new butt!

Then, Amy gave me a box to get in, which you know how much I love to sit in boxes as I am the Box Cat!, and someone put about a million hangers in it. How the hell am I supposed to sit in it like that? I'm not beign naughty just to be mean. You have to cut me some slack as I am a cat.

And the capper was this week as Fred Taylor was wrongly passed over for the Pro Bowl. That stupid, buster Joseph Addai (The Mayor as dad calls him) made it and he has sucked this year. I think I'm going to quit watching football if it is always so wrong!

Well I guess I'm done venting for now. I hate to get all worked up so close to Christmas, but I can't help it. Maybe I'll go in there and put on some Christmas music and chill.

Oh, and one last thing. Amy told us last night that she is moving on December 28. I suppose that means I will be sleeping with mom and dad more. I hope I can be good so I don't get locked out. Actually Misses Hiney is the one who keeps getting me in trouble. She is trying to eat everything in sight and even chewing in to bags. She better knock it off or there will be trouble!

Merry Christmas to all!!!

December Football

Hi gang,
Well, things are definitely looking bad for my cat teams in the NFL. Oh sure, the Jaguars are doing pretty well, but they still can't beat those damn Colts!

In Detroit the Lions predicted 10 wins, but it looks like they might win 7 max as they have dropped 5 in a row. As for the Panthers, well they suck ouot loud and will not be going to the playoffs.

Around here, dad is all giddy about the Colts chances. He even has a new hat for the occasion. He's such a d-bag!

Hope everyone is ready for Christmas. Just a few short days until the big day is here. I pretty much get the house to myself for a couple of days then i hope mom and dad are going to Las Vegas again this year, but I haven't heard any talk of it!

For those of you who may not have heard, my sister Amy is moving out at the end of the month. I'll miss her but I know she is really anxious to get her own place so I'm glad for her. I don't know if I have to move out when I get older or not. Since I'm a cat, I might be able to stay here!

Love to all!

Seasons Greeting From Roo!

Meow everyone and a very Merry Christmas season to all of you!

Yes, it’s the holiday season again and I hope all of you remember the true meaning of the holidays, especially Christmas! Even if you celebrate Hanukah or Kwanzaa or even a Festivus for the Rest of Us keep your family and friends in mind and keep thoughts of those less fortunate in your mind as well.

Too many times we get caught up in the giving and getting at this time of year and we forget the real meaning of the time. I know it’s easy to do, but try! Heck, even I get a little giddy when mom or Amy puts the Christmas tree up. This year I have been hanging out under the tree quite a bit. Dad thinks I am up to something weevilish, but I really am just enjoying the tree.

Well that’s about it for now. And for those of you who are intent on making the holiday a commercial and/or giving success, here is a short list of things you can get me! Love you all!

Rooney

  1. Food. Something good, not the same old morsels I get now. Maybe some turkey.
  2. Nip. Even though dad doesn’t like me doing it.
  3. A new butt. Mine has a crack in it.
  4. Some Figgie pudding. Not sure what it is, but it’s in a song.
  5. No lockouts for the 12 Days of Christmas.
  6. World peace!
  7. A camera so I can catch dad doing things he doesn’t want on the Internet.
  8. A Carolina Panther jersey. Large in cat size.
  9. Paper balls. So many it drives mom crazy!
  10. Tickets to the cat fancier show.
  11. An IUPUI Jaguar T-shirt. Again, cat size large.
  12. An autographed picture of Michael Vick.
