Whew, it's Roo!

Hi gang,

Mr. Puparoo here and lovin' the good life right now!

First let me say that it has been an adjustment period since Misses Hiney left us. I miss our daily scrimmages, but it is nice to be the lead cat so to speak. The only downside is that if something goes wrong, you-know-who gets the blame!

It has been a nice spring for Roo. I've been enjoying myself on my little tuft dad set up for me on the davenport. He also gave me an emery board that I just love to play with. Not sure why. Speaking of playing, I wonder where my string is. Haven't seen it for a while. I better ask mom.

Dad has been buying some good cheese and you bet the Pup is right there to share. Not sure what kind he has been getting but boy howdy is it good!

Kind of a bittersweet day at the Brickyard for Roo. Panther Racing had the race won before their driver decided there was a right turn on that track. I was glad for Dan Wheldon though as he brought it home in second two years in a row for the Panthers. So all in all not bad.

Not sure if everyone has heard but my sister Amy got spliced a few weeks ago. I guess it was a whale of a shindig, but Roo had to stay home.

Well, as Big Pete says, I guess I'll be hittin the old dusty trail.

You all be easy! I'll talk at you soon!

Sad Day

It’s a bittersweet day for ol Roo. Dad just told me that Misses Hiney is going away and she is not coming back. Normally I would welcome such news, but Misses Hiney has been sick so I am just sad that she is leaving and not staying here to get well.

Dad explained that she has been sick for a while and that is why she is so skinny these days, yet she eats like there is no tomorrow. He says she has some internal problems that make her so hungry and thirsty that she is probably hurting and he says it isn’t right to make her suffer.

Dad is pretty bummed too. I know I am his favorite but he doesn’t want to see her sick and suffering. I guess I better be good for the rest of today because he and mom are not going to be in a real happy mood.

Well, that is all I have for today. I’ll check back in after a few days and let you know how things are going.

Peace out!

Happy Black Cat History Month!

That's right folks it's black cat history month. At least that is what I heard on TV the other day. You know how proud I am to be a black cat and the long and rich history of my ilk makes me even prouder. So if you see a black cat this month, take the time to say "thanks" for all the contributions they have made to this world.

Well my Super Bowl pick turned out to be a burgled turd didn't it? Honestly I think that they would have won had they worn their black uniforms. Not sure why they didn't but that, more than anything else, cost them.

Race season is upon us with this weeks running of the Daytona 500. Those of you who follow this blog know I am more of an open wheel fan because of Panther Racing, but I will be watching Sunday with mom and dad. I heard dad whining about someone named Kurt Busch possibly winning. I guess he must be the favorite the way dad was complaining.

Not much else to report. I'm still playing with my string. Dad's computer room is still neat and tidy and he has given me a chair to sit in when I'm in there. I liked it better when it was messy as I could scout around and find interesting things.

I did have a job for a couple of hours a couple of weeks ago. Mom and dad had some water dripping in when the ice was melting on the roof. Dad had a system set up to catch the water and I was in charge of the system. He was calling me his project manager. Sadly though I screwed up and fell asleep on the job and the system failed and a mess was made. I was promptly terminated and reminded that I was a Top 10 all time worst cat. I'm pretty sure I'm not, but dad keeps saying it.

Speaking of dad, he goes bowling every Thursday night and comes home late. He apparently doesn't have to be at work until after 8 on Friday so after mom leaves for work he sets and alarm and goes back to sleep, or should I say, he tries!! The past couple of weeks i have decided he needs to be up and at 'em earlier than he wants. So to make sure he isn't late to work I go "wake him up". He-he! I jump into bed and stand on him or walk on him until he wakes up. When he stirs I run to the corner of the bed where he can't get me. I think it really messes with his head and he has sworn vengeance. But I ain't scared. He's all talk as usual!!

Well, I'm going to pop out of here for now. Hope all of you are enjoying this warm weather. I like the cooler weather myself since I have this cat suit on all of the time, but it's still pretty nice as it's not too hot.

Have a great day!

Peace and love to all!

Happy Winter!

I heard dad bellyaching about some incoming weather so I know it must be getting ready to be bad out. I'd complain but really I love it! For one thing Puparoo doesn't have to go out in the weather and for another, if it's really bad then mom and dad will be staying home from work. Don't tell them, but secretly I like it when they are around!

Lately I've been playing with "the string". It's some stretchy cloth cord dad likes to dangle in front of me and then I grab it and chew on it. Dad will run down the hall with it and I chase it down. We've been playing for a couple of weeks now, since dad found it when he was cleaning out his computer room. He and I found all kind of fund things in there. It took him almost a whole week to get it done. It's nice to go in there now, but Roo can't really get in any trouble in there now that it is all neat:(

Other than that nothing much else is new. I'm just about at my year anniversary of being sick and honestly I feel great.

Well I'm going to pop out of here for now. By the way, for the Super Bowl I like the Steelers to beat the Packers. I don't really have a rooting interest in it, but I like the Steelers experience in this game. I do think it will be a good one though!
