Great Days!

Hi gang!

Ol Roo here. Hope everyone is enjoying the nicer weather we have been having. Even your fave cat has got spring fever and what a great day I had today!

First I got up early and walked on mom until she got up and fed me. Dad was on te sofa butI couldn't make him get up. He whined that his shoulder hurt. Wuss! Then later today I got to go out in the garage and I had a ball.

Dad has a workbench out there and I like to jump up on it and just hang out, but I was feeling adventurous today and found a spot higher up and it was way up by a window so I took me a little nap in the nice warm sunshine.

Then when the sun started to go down I started wandering around and lo and behold the sunroof was open on dad's car. Naturally I jumped in and promptly got in the back window deck and took another nap. Dad came out and found me but I got out before he had a chance to drive off with me.

Finally, a stupid bird team got the number 1 seed in the NCAA tournament, but my Pitt Panthers were number 2 so that made Roo feel good.

All in all it was a real red letter day for me!!!

Well that's about it for now. I hope you all have a great week and I'll speak at you soon!

Lazing On A Sunny Morning!

Hi gang!

Well ol Roo is just hanging out this morning. I had a nice bowl of food (and a little of Misses Hiney's) and just have been laying around relaxing. Dad came in and picked me up earlier and then he rubbed my belly for me so it is all good today for the Puparoo!

I really don't have much else. The "pee bomb" hasn't gone off for a few days so that makes everyone happy!

I guess I'll just chill out until race time and then root for Jeff Burton in the Cat car.

Y'all have a doozy!

Ugh!

Nearly a month after the fact and I am still not over my Panthers early playoof demise! To a a bird team no less! Birds suck out loud as evidenced by their lousy Super Bowl appearance. I watched some of the game but I knew they'd lose. Losers! But the good news is that I am not bitter!

Hi everyone. It's nice to be back. These warmer temps have me a little more motivated. It was so cold there for a while that I would get up in the morning and eat and then find a nice warm place to go back to sleep. It was so cold dad wasn't on the Wii in the mornings so I couldn't even bug him!

On a much somber note, mom's mom (I don't think the grandma thing works for cats like mom, dad or sister) is very sick. Please keep her in your thoughts. I have been trying to be extra good fo mom since she is very upset, but you all know how I am.

Speaking of being bad, I have been labeled the "pee bomb" by dad. I had a couple of little accidents and now I am locked out of half the house and whenever dad comes home he checks everywhere to make sure I didn't "go off" again. He really makes me feel guilty about it. He says my weevelishness is what makes him super suspicious. I guess I'm getting older and have a hard time holding it, but it's not done on purpose!

Well that's all that is going on here. Hey to all of my friends. I hope to get back on here a little more as it gets nicer outside.

Love to all!

Happy New Year and the Playoffs!

First off, Happy New Year to everyone except of course Pepper! Hope you have a prosperous and safe 2009!

This week the NFL playofs start and Roo is goign back to picking the games, albeit not against the spread. So with no further ado, here's how the black cat sees it!

In the NFC my Panthers earned a bye and will be at home watching like Roo. In a classic bird brain game the Falcons travel to Arizona to face the Cardinals. Roo thinks birds are dumb and in this case the Cardinals are just posers. Roo sees a Falcon win in the desert.

The other NFC matchup has another bird team, the Eagles going to Minnesota to face the Vikings. I may not like birds but the Eagles look hot coming into the playoffs and the winning the NFC North is like being the tallest midget. Eagles fly over the Vikings!

On the AFC side dad's Colts hae been pretty hot themselves and go to San Diego to fae their nemesis the Chargers. The Chargers limped inot the playoffs and at 8-8 only got there because of their crappy division. The Colts are loaded and have to much for the San Diegans even though horses scare me!

Anothere damn bird team, the Ravens go to a stupid fish team, the Dolphins, I know, I know. I think the Dolphins are a nice team, but I just don't see them beating that Raven D. Ravens by a TD.

That's it for now. Tune in next week for my divisional round picks!

Have a doozie and I'll holla at y'all later!

When A Quarter Cup Isn't A Quarter Cup!

Hi faithfull readers!

As you all know, ol' Roo isn't one to complain, but today I do have a beef!

You see, I am on a new food and I do like it very much. Of course it is more expensive but I do like the finer things in life! The problem you ask? Well me and Misses Hiney are fed 1/4 of a cup of food each morning and late afternoon. No problem there, or at least there wasn't. With the Meow Mix, which I also liked, I would eat some and save some for later. After all they say eating several small meals a day is better than a couple of large meals. That's probably how Roo had been keeping his svelte physique lately.

Anyway, with the new food I get my usual 1/4 cup, but man, I just rip through it and it is gone. I've even heard dad taliking about how I don't leave any food any more. So I got to thinking and I wonder if 1/4 cup of Meow Mix is heavier and in turn more filling than my new food. I overheard dad discussing it with mom and she dismissed the idea, but I think dad is concerned. He even called me skinny this morning. He wants to do some diagnostic tests on my food to see if I am still getting enough food. I can't beleive that I like this food so much that I just go crazy and eat it all so fast. I think the volume is there, but not the weight and if that is the case, then that is unfair, and you know how I hate all things unfair.

I'll keep you posted on how dad's diagnostics come out and let you know if ol' Roo will be getting more food.

Later days,

Puparoo

Of Panthers, Lions, Pepper and More!

Hi gang!
How about them Panthers!! Wow, what a run they are having! This week they'll complete the end of the Giants run and should get home field advantag throughout the playoffs. I am just so excited!! Being part panther I hope to be able to score some Super Bowl tickets and head out to see the big game. Dad says I can't go, but he can't stop me!

As for my other teams, well, the damn Colts beat up my Lions last week, but this week look for the Jags to complete the season sweep of the stupid Colts. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if dads team doesn't drop a pair of games and miss the playoffs altogether.

I see our old friend Pepper weighed in last week. Pepper, you are such an a-hole it is just unbeleivable! Are you just a hater or are you really stupid? Ah, who cares? You are nothing but a turd in the poophut of life! Jerk!

Hope you all have a great day and hope you are enjoying the holiday season. I know things are kind of lean this year with the economy and all, so all I really want for Christmas is a few more Panther wins!

Peace and love to all, but Pepper!

Roo's Triumphant Return!

Hi everyone! I am really sorry to be away for so long, but I meant to take some R&R after the big Halloween holiday then when i was ready to come back I started feeling a bit under the weather and really just now feel back to my old weevelish self!

Hope everyone had a great Halloween and a real nice Thanksgiving. I ate a little turkey this year, but not a whole lot. Didn't really feel like it. It looks like the US has elected a black cat as its new President and I couldn't be happier. Black cats are so smart and dedicated that this new cat can't miss! I'm not sure what his name is but dad usually says a bad word when he talks about him. I guess he's just jealous.

As for me not feeling well, well, it was kind of bad and then it got really bad over the weekend. A while back I was having trouble peeing and sometimes I went outside of the poophut. I had dad conviced it was Misses Hiney doing it, but I knew something wasn't right. I tried to ride it out and see if it got better, but it eventually took me down.

A couple of weeks ago I was really down for a day and couldn't pee or poop. I wasn't hungry and when mom or dad touched me it hurt. It passed in a few hours, but I knew things were getting worse.

Saturday I didn't feel very good, but I was making the most of things and managed to eat, but I couldn't go to the poophut and be productive. Sunday morning I ate my food but dad caught me out of the hut acting like I was going to go. He shooed me away and I went into the living room and just laid down. I knew I was sick.

Mom and dad came home and I was still just laying in one place and in some pretty severe pain. It hurt just to move and I wanted to be comforted, but I sure didn't want to be touched. I could tell dad was worried about me and he kept a close eye on me. Mom kept puttng papers under me to throw up on, but I couldn't even do that. Eventually I did puke a couple of times, but not much. Nothing was moving. That night I slipped under the bed to sleep, but I was up most of the night worried. I didn't even go on my usual reign of terror that night.

When dad got up and saw I was still curled up and not moving he was really worried and I thought he was going to cry. When mom got up he told her he thought I needed to go to the vet ASAFP! Mom looked me over and decided he was right and this time I was willing to go!

Mom loaded me up on a towel in a laundry basket and drove me to a new vet. I cried, but mostly because I was in pain and not just because I hate the vet! Apparently ol Roo had some kind of bladder blockage and my bladder was huge and full. The blockage was some kind of crystalline formation and would have to be loosened and I would have to be juiced. They took xray's of me and eventually with all of their handling the blockage was freed and Roo peed freely! Talk about feeling better!

I stayed at the doctor's that day and mom picked me up later in the afternoon. The doctor game me some new food for me to eat and thankfully it's pretty good! Mom and dad are weaning me off of the old food and onto the special diet food and I am to have no people food! I don't eat too much of that kind of stuff anyway so that's okay.

I really thought dad might be posting my obit on here this week the way I felt on Sunday, but rest assured, Roo is back!

I haven't seen any remarks from any of my friends so I hope they are all okay and I hope they come back to visit again, now that I'm back.

Peace and love to all!!

My Week!

Well it's Halloween week and you all know that it is Pup's big holiday! People put out statues and pictures of black cats and reall make a Puparro feel good!

On another note the back room has once again been opened. Mom and dad got a new table to put in there and Roo has been enjoying himself sitting on the new chairs. It's not much but it's something!

Well that's all for now. Roo'll have some more football picks Sunday morning!

Lov you all,
Roo

Pigskin Picks Etc.

Hi everyone and welcome to Roo's picks. A few housekeeping items before we get started.

No, Roo didn't catch the mouse. Pup's dad said he saw it run into the furnace closet and Roo hasn't seen it since. Dad told Roo he thought it probably went back outside. If it knows what's good for it, it will stay outside!

Roo was watching the Colt game last week and the roof was open at the new stadium. When Roo's dad got home he asked his dad how he liked it with said roof open. Roo's dad said he loved it, but he had heard a lot of complaints about the sun being in peoples' eyes, that it was too hot and that, OMG, their beers were getting warm too quick! Dad said some people will complain about anything. They bitch if the roof is closed, open or whatever. He said they should dress accordingly and wear sunglasses and drink their beer faster! Roo told dad it looked pretty cool on TV and he agreed it did in person as well!

Now on to the picks. Just three this week.

First up Roo's Panther's (-3) host the Saints. Coming off a drubbing last week in Tampa the Panther's look to be pissed and will take it out on the Aint's. Give the points and take the cats!

Pup's Lions (+9.5) are a mess and things probably won't get better anytime soon. That said, the Lions are at Houston today against a weak Texan team. While Roo seriously doubts the team wins, take the Lions and the points and laugh all the way to the bank!

Finally dad's Colts (-1) travel to the frozen tundra of Lambeau Field. It probably won't be frozen and these ain't your daddy's Packers. One point isn't enough and the Colts will win by at least a TD.

That's it for now. Roo'll have more this week.

Peace to all of Roo's friends!

Roo Picks Again!

Well Mr. Puparoo finally had a good week last week and is recharged and ready to go this week! Roo won't waste any time, let's get right to the picks!

Roo's Lions (+13) are a disaster and things don't look good for a win this week. However, Roo does think 13 is too many against a mediocre Viking team on a short week. Take the Lions and the points.

Mr. Pup's Panthers (+1.5) travel to Tampa today. This should go a long way to helping shape the future of this division. Take the points and expect a cat win.

The Jags (+3.5) travel to the Mile High city today to face the Broncos. Roo thinks the Broncs are a fraud and will wilt under the defensive pressure of his Jags. Take the points and again, expect a big cat win!

Roo's dads' Colts (-4) take on the Ravens today here in Indianapolis. Black is beautiful, but horses are too much for stupid birds. Take the Colts and give the points.

That's it for now. There's some things going on here at the house that Rooney will comment on this week. Plus Pup has a new mouse friend here at home. Will the mouse make it through the week? Roo's dad doesn't think he is much of a mouser, but Roo begs to differ. Tune in to find out!

Peace to all but Pepper!

He's Back!

I told you it was just a one week layoff! Fearless Roo is back with his NFL picks for week 5. Let's get right to them!

My Panters (-9.5) host the Chefs today. Last week the Chefs surpised everyone with their beatdown of the Broncos. That was then, this is now. Panter's roll in this one and cover easily.

Unfortunately my Lions (+3.5) aren't very good and while they are at home today they will struggle again and lose by a TD to the Bears (suck).

In Houston, the Texans (+3) host the Colts. I don't like the Colts, but I have a feeling they get it rolling today and kick the Texans around. Colts big.

Finally, my Jaguars (-4) host the Steelers. The Steelers are as beat up as my guys, but they just aren't good enough to go to JAX and do much. Just like last year's playoffs, Jags win and cover!

That's it for now!! See ya soon!

Week Off

Whew, the Puparoo was stinking the place up so he decided to take a week off of his picks. Rest assured the picks will return, and be better this week!

Nothing else much new here. Just thought I'd pop in here and say hi! Dad is in the shower and he left his computer on so I should break into his page and hack it, but I won't since he does let me use his computer.

Well that's about it for now. Check back in for my picks later in the week!

Pup's Pigskin Prognostications!

Whew! Pup is sucking out loud at these picks, (season record 4-5) but i suspect I'll come back this week with a vengeance!

I have to tell you, I'm really worried about my Jags (+5). They are beat to hell and today they play the Colts. I was listening to Hockey Bob call the Colts game last week and it seems like they have finally caught fire. With all the decimation to the Jags today could be a long day for my team. Colts by a TD.

On the other hand, the Panthers (+3) are in championship form and I look for that to continue. They travel to the hapless Vikings today and should smash them. My cats by 14!

In the bif AFC East matchup the Patriots (-12.5) host the Dolphins. Fish are too stupid to win in this game even without Tom Brady for the Pats.

Dad works with a guy who is a Bills (-9.5) fan and thinks they are a shoe-in for the title this year. Sure they are 2-0, but today the rejuvinated Raiders come to town and will smack the Bills around. Raiders by a FG.

In the Sunday nighter Dallas (-3) travels to the Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field to face the red hot Packers. Why are the Cowboys giving up 3? Who knows, but I'll take them even if I don't need them. Pack by 10.

Well here we are at the Autumnal equinox. Summer seemed like it just flew by. So many things I wanted to get done and just didn'tr get to. Maybe I'll have a great Fall. Hope you all do as well and keep tuning in for those pics.

Uggh!

Week one didn't go so well for the Puparoon, and I have taken a rash of shit from my dad about the picks. But never fear, Roo will not be deterred from posting this weeks picks!

It was a good week for my Panther's but my Jags may be in real trouble with all of their injuries. The Lions, well they look to suck again!

The Colts (-1.5) visit the Vikings where one of the teams expected to do well will come out of this one 0-2. It ain't going to be the Colts. As much as I don't like them, the Vikings looked stinky on Monday night against the Packers. Colts by 7.

The Bears (+3) go to Charlotte to play my Panthers. Sorry Bears, this isn't the Colts. The Panthers rolled the Chargers last week and will go to 2-0 this week with a double digit win.

It's a pickem between Denver and San Diego, but Roo really likes the Broncos in this one. San Diego wasn't good last week and the Broncos destroyed the hapless Raiders. Denver by 10.

Monday night it's the Cowboys (-6.5) hosting the Eagles. Birds are stupid and they will lose big in Big D.

Enjoy the games.

Oh and Pepper, you suck!

Roo

Sunday, September 7, 2008

Hi Y'all!

Hey gang, how about that slick new pic of the Puparoo? Pretty neat eh?

Well the football season is here and you all know I have a feeling that I am going to be happy come season end when the Panthers wrap up the whole enchilada. Mmmm, enchilada!

Well it's a long time until the Super Bowl so I may pop in here and make some weekly picks to pass the time and hopefully help you make some money!

So here are Roo's picks for week 1.

The Jets (-3) are at Miami with Brett Favre leading the way against their old QB and the Dolphins. I just don't think the Dolphins have much and will drop this one big time. Jets by 15.

My Jags (-3) are at Tennessee for a big divisional matchup. It should be hard fought, but the more talented Jags will win this one by a TD.

The Cowboys (-6) are the Browns today. While conventional wisdom says the Cowboys will walk in this one Roo thinks that not only will they not cover the spread, but may just lose outright!

The Colts (-9.5) are at home tonight to the Bears at the new stadium, but I think the Colts will no longer enjoy the homefield advantage of noise and will not cover a large spread. Too many question marks surround this team and I don't believe in them.

For some reason the Packers (-2) are favored over the very talented Vikings. The Vikes will roll the hapless Packers who will be hating life without Brett Favre by halftime!

Have a great day and enjoy the games!

A Lesbian No More!

That got your attention didn't it? Actually it should be a tough guy no more. Mom and dad are back and I couldn't be happier. I usually go into cold shoulder mode when they get in, but I just couldn't this time. I was really happy to see them. It seemed like they were gone a long time. Oh, it was nice seeing Amy and Greg everyday but nothing like those morning feedings as well!

Dad knew I was happy so he picked me up about a million times yesterday, but I didn't put up too much of a fight!

Well, that's all for now. I just wanted to get on here and say welcome home! And no dad, I am not just sucking up!

Hi guys,
Well it's certainly has been quiet around here without mom and dad. It's been nice to see Amy and Greg but I miss the folks. Just thought I'd pop on here and say so!
Peace out!

The Weevilish One!

Hi gang!

Roo here. Just thought I'd pop in and say hey. Hope everyone's summer is going great. It's almost over now. Mom and dad are heading out for their annual trip to the beach although I've been hearing dad bellyaching about some hurricane. Serves him right for the lockouts and holding me against my will.

Me and Misses Hiney are going to tough it out here at home. I think Amy and Greg are going to feed us. Not sure if the snot noses will be coming by or not.

Looks like football is right around the corner. Watch for my Panthers to rebound this season and win it all, probably against my Jaguars. Dad's Colt's look like they will be pretty pathetic this season.

That's all for now. Sorry I haven't been on much, but dad has changed his password and I have to sneak on when he has it up and running.

Peace out,

Roo
